This version of the iconic story features Wolf Larson in the lead role of Tarzan. Discouraged by civilization, Tarzan returns to the jungle where he grew up. The classic character Cheetah the monkey is also part of this series. This is an action packed story. 

This series aired on NBC, and repeats were broadcast on CBS.

The internationally known, classic story of Tarzan had its inception in 1912 with the magazine version of Tarzan of the Apes, which appeared in book form in 1914. Tarzan's heroic character holds so much appeal, more than forty films have been made about the legendary character since 1932. Tarzan books and comic books have been childhood staples for generations.
