As the lion becomes older, they feel they can no longer take care of him. Conservationist George Adamson then takes their beloved lion back into the wild. A year later, his former owners go to the jungle to see the lion they raised. But will he remember them?

The true story follows the baby lion’s life from a fashionable antique shop, Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna's home in the hills of Surrey, to a life in Africa with wild lions. Laughter and heartbreak ensue throughout this emotional film.
